Scammers pretending to be from ASIC have been contacting ASIC Registry customers asking them to pay fees and give personal information to renew their business or company name.

Protect your Business from Scams

There are a few ways you can tell if an email is likely to be a scam, including if it asks you:

  • to make a payment over the phone,
  • to make a payment to receive a refund,
  • for your credit card or bank details directly by email or phone, or
  • to pay fees that are different to the fees on the ASIC website.

For business names, Custom Accounting will send our clients renewals a month before your renewal date. For companies, we will send you information about your annual review shortly after your annual review date.

If you think you’ve been sent a scam email, we encourage you to contact your Client Relationship Manager.
